Rummaging 6/12

(Now that summer has hit full force, there are going to be a lot more of these rummaging posts, so prepare yourself!)

---

I first saw these cute glasses last Friday, but they were a little too expensive for my yard sale budget so I left them behind. However, that night I was still thinking about them, and after I mentioned them to my parents and saw that they didn't think my idea of an "awesome find" was at all dubious (unlike many of the other strange goodies I find), I googled what the glasses went for on ebay. Turns out what I thought was out of my budget was actually a pretty darn good deal, so I went back Saturday morning with the 'rents and scooped them up.

It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but they're novelty glasses from the '40s with naked ladies on the inside. I was so excited to find them--especially because everything else at that rummage was so drab!

  1. How long are these rummage sales you go to? You keep saying "I went back the next day" and stuff. When people have a rummage sale around here it usually just lasts Saturday morning and maybe part of the afternoon!

  2. Rummages around here typically go from Thursday to Saturday, maybe Sunday. Lazy Canadians. :p

  3. Oh, and there are a few places I often go to that just constantly have garage sales. The people just keep taking stuff out of their house, pricing it, and sticking it in their driveway. Then when they want to sit outside and sell stuff, they put up a sign and wait. These people usually have the best stuff, because they're almost always old hoarders/future me's.

  4. When I come back we are going to some rummage sales together, ok.

(That is a statement, not a question, in case you didn't catch that).
